Don’t get left in the dark, install timers on your outdoor lights

It’s a great time to install timers on outdoor lights. We are at the end of Daylight Saving Time and the days are getting shorter. Don’t get left in the dark trying to find your keys! We can help you by installing timers to your current security lights. We can also install a brand new indoor/outdoor security lighting system, complete with timers. Then, you can program your outdoor lights to come on at dusk and go off at dawn, or at anytime that works for you. Along with giving you a feeling of safety, you can also save on energy usage.

Spring ahead, Fall back

Spring ahead, Fall back

Speaking of Daylight Saving Time (DST), McCauley Electric wants to make sure you won’t wake up this Sunday in a panic because you didn’t adjust your clocks! The basic rule of thumb on Daylight Saving Time (DST) is “Spring forward, Fall back” so be sure to set your clocks back one hour tomorrow, November 2nd 2014 at 2:00AM. The time we are entering is called “standard time,” “normal time” or even “winter time.” This year, Daylight Savings Time began on March 9th and ends tomorrow.

So, we lose an hour in the spring and gain one in the fall. We also have to remember that it will get darker sooner now. Those timers on your outdoor lighting will come in handy, alerting the kids it’s time to come in. Let us give you peace of mind by installing timers that will provide lighting at just the right time, as well as save you money by saving energy. Call us at McCauley Electric for a FREE Quote today!
